Forums - Gaming - Batman: Arkham Asylum, to be biggest suprise in long time?

Licensed game are 99% crap, but sometimes they succeed.

Batman: Arkham Asylum seems to be one of best games in 2009.

I just read Pelaaja magazines review, which I trust most and really respect them, and they gave it 10/10 (it has only gave 10 to about 7 games).

Playstation official magazine gave it 9/10 also..

I was really suprised since I don't really care much about Batman but seems I might buy this..

Games are really hard to make such impact anymore.

Take my love, take my land..

im very happy its getting good reviews ive been waiting ages for a decent batman and now it looks like we're great one

I've been looking forward to this game for a while, and if the demo is any indication, it's going to be a great game. I love the focus on stealth, and the fact that if you try to take on a bunch of guys with guns head on they'll kill you pretty easily.

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

Yeah.. i like that they've focused on freedom, gadgets and stelth - with a touch of good action. And it looks great aswell, which dosen't hurt. Batman looks badass! The Joker however, looks to funny. I'd like him to look more trashed up and psyco.

Sweet! I just pre-ordered based on the demo last week. I originally planned on renting this due to it being single player only, but after the demo I felt like this game is a must own to support the developers for a possible sequel.

And its awesome that they are using the Batman & Joker voice actors from Batman the animated series. I used to watch that show everyday after school.

That would make sense.  Maybe it's something you can do later in the game, I think you can use exp to unlock things, hopefully that includes moves too, I got tired of the same choke move for the silent takedown.

I'm not that surprised. I had my eye on this game for a long time.
