Well after two great years with my ps3, it is finally crashed on me. I guess I can join the boat with the rest of people who have had this happened to them. I was in the middle of X-Men Origins:Wolverine and it just cut off on me. Turned it back on and while it worked for a few minutes it cut right back off. Once again turned it back on and a yellow light popped up for about a second then red again :'(. So many good memories with me ps3. So much trophy collecting.. Oh well, luckily, I've been saving up for a time like this and I plan to get another(160GB) in a few days even though it won't be the same as my first... I assume you got the 60gb model judging by the date you got it.....DW you same as me mine had YLOD few months ago now it's fixed and working fine.

No it was the 40GB... If it was the 60 i might have lost it sooner because I heard they had more YLOD hits than the other models

I have a 60GB launch model and yet to have a problem with it, sad to hear yours died on your mr!

They didn't have the 40GB in December 2006.

Oh dear. I thought the LLOD only affected launch 60gbs and not the 40 and 80s.

Did it happen suddenly or have you been getting triple beeps when you turned it off for a while?
