Forums - Nintendo - Iwata: Nintendo's E3 not as good as it could have been

Tayne said:
Wow, I thought it was great with 2 new Mario games and Other M being announced. Good to know the Big N still has high standards.

I think he's judging the presentation's quality and the innovation introduced, not its software content.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Their show was just fine this year.

We all know the best thing that happened was after the show: The reveal of a Zelda Wii official art!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Nintendo´s conference was the weakest of the three big ones, but still it was WAY better than 2008 E3. No doubt about it.

Still, in a personal comment: Super mario bros.wii blew me away!

I agree, other than Golden Sun DS and Metroid: other M, their E3 wasn't as good as people said.

I think they were expecting to announce another game though. Like whatever Factor 5 was working on or what Retro is working on. I feel like that would have cemented an E3 win.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I really don't understand why everyone wants trailers in E3 presentations, I always look forward either to announcements or different stuff, I'm ok with people playing the games like usually Nintendo do, but he's right too, this year's wasn't really "exciting" to watch.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

It was an okay E3, nowhere near as bad as 2008 but it still could have been better.

Well it was bad cuss it was a nintendo event. HAHAHA

Proud owner of all currnet gen consoles.

I not a big wii fan

Okita the sadist.

Guys, he's not talking about the content itself, but rather how they show it to the masses.

I agree that NSMB Wii didn't look very exciting as some of the other demos.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
