Forums - Gaming - Game Republic (Folklore) to announce 2 new games at GamesCom

As the hype train for GamesCom reaches full swing, more new game announcements for the convention have been revealed.  The latest batch come from NeoGAF member and games journalist Vinterbird, who reported that Game Republic is set to unveil 2 previously unannounced games at the upcoming GamesCom convention.  Game Republic is an independant Japanese developer founded by the father of Street Fighter II, Yoshiki Okamoto and is most commonly known for the  PS3 exclusive action RPG, Folklore.

Before you get too excited, it's important to note that Namco Bandai is set to publish the games, so it's unlikely to be a sequel to any Sony licensed property.

GamesCom is set to take place from August 19-23, in Cologne, Germany.

They also made both Genji games and Dragon Ball: Origins.

Nice.

4 ≈ One

Hmm...any past gems they have made?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Game Republic is a mixed bag.

Brave Story and Folklore were great! I also heard Dark Mist was good as well.

Didn't Brash go under, though? I doubt Namco would have taken over Clash of the Titans or whatever it was.

If it is publsihed by Namco then it is PROBABLY multiplatform

They do go under. Brash is no more.
