Forums - Gaming - Gamers boycotting Activision

So that's why third parties want Sony to drop the price on the PS3. They want to sell their games for more. Mystery solved.

They don't need my conscious boycott, with this approach, they will soon crash.

Exactly.

They're following EA's old strategy, yet in spite of what happened to EA they don't see their decline ahead of them. Oh well, sucks to be you Activision.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

well, i never boycotted them, i just never liked any of their games.
last game i bought was a crappy Tony Hawk game i bought last gen.

The value of MW2, for me, far exceeds £55.

Which is why I'm getting the hardened edition.

A few people will be on their own boycott and miss out on some good games.

If you don't buy a game because it's too expensive, is that really a boycott?

What kind of ridiculous statement is that?

I'm a Sony fan, and I'm still buying MW2.

Do you think it's acceptable for a company to bitch about Sony having their prices too high, and then to go and claim they would like $100 games?

Well, as far as I am concerned, if a game is worth that price for me, then I will buy it at that price.

Modern Warfare 2 is one such game.

This is the same as bitching about EA and Ubisoft in the past, it'll become a fad and then you'll all realise that most of the games you love that aren't first party come from one of them, and you'll cave in and buy their games. Except no one will make a thread about your lack of will power.

Look, I have nothing against you guys complaining about game companies (I do it too), but let's not go into this nonsense boycott crap again (I'm not pointing at anyone in this thread, just the gaming community as a whole).
