God of War. Why because it is easier to make a sword and sorcery film and to have it stand out than it is to make a starship troopers / military space film. All you have to do for sword and sorcery would be to have Vin Deisel play Kratos, make some decent CGI monsters, and have a hot babe in a skimpy white dress. Space Military films always wind up being like typical Sci-Fi Channel movies and there have been too many of them for their to be any real standouts.

Uncharted movie will be better then either of them. But if I had to choose between these two then I think gears will be better.

god of war is epic but it would just seem like a "300" nock off or the unofffical sequel to it

I can't say for sure, but I'll go for Gears... how the hell will a God of War movie work? a dude smashing everything for an hour and a half?

The one with more boobs will be liked more but I say on a critic reviews it will slightly go to Gears..

if holywood manged to turn Mario Bros and Double dragon in to movies I don't think they will have any trouble with god of war. All the elements are there for a great time at the movie theater. Can't wait for the orgy scene...

For brutality, Gears of war has an edge. We're talking about the man behind underworld.

What's left for God of War? Some dude who made joke series( I still loved them, but god of war is no joke) and the one behind xmen 3.

It all depends on actors, budget and script.

If one of them fills all 3, then the winner is obvious.

Theres no story or theme in God Of War? Surprise to me.

I would say God of Wars story would make for an epic movie but they really need to nail the right actor for Kratos and the movie better have an R rating. I think if they concentrated both on the emotional family side of Kratos as well as his pure rage they could make a sufficently deep movie.

Gears of War on the other hand is also setting up for a nice movie since their going with using D-day as the back drop which again can add an emotional aspect as well as the action of course. Based off seeing how much the team behind GoW cares about this movie and its actors I think this movie will be a more critically acclaimed movie than God of War.

But like someone else said if someone like Peter Jackson or Steven Speilberg made a good Halo movie I think it would blow both of them out of the water.
