That's just a short list of some of the games that were released prior to LittleBigPlanet that it's managed to outsell. LittleBigPlanet has done phenominal by just about all accounts and it's success is just that more evident when you consider the fact that it's a new IP.

It's all about the hype. It did good, but nowhere near the hype. That means below expectations of many people, thus "only" mediocre or good sales and not great.

MGS4 did live up to the hype saleswise. Killzone 2 did not, though the sales are very decent.
