Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter made several in-roads in an industry littered with tactical shooter sims and WWII clones. More importantly, it helped improve the Xbox 360’s foothold in it’s first year, before Gears of War and Halo 3 made their respective debuts later. Despite the series being multi-platform, coming to the Playstation 3 and PC, GRAW has always arrived on Microsoft’s consoles first.
We recently spotted an interesting point in the resume of Kim Kirchstein, Texture Artist and Material/Shader Artist for Red Storm Entertainment. The majority of his work consists of Ghost Recon titles, included the Advanced Warfighter series, besides Rainbow Six Lockdown (Xbox) and The Sum of All Fears (PC).
EXPERIENCE:
Red Storm Entertainment / UbiSoft – February, 2001 – April, 2009
2D/3D Texture/ Material Artist
Creating high quality textures and some 3D assets.
Unannounced title (Xbox 360)
Tom Clancy’s GRAW2 Throwback Pack 2 (Xbox 360)
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 DLC (Xbox 360)
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Xbox 360)
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (Xbox 360)
Judging from his highly focussed past experience, this could most likely be a sequel to the GRAW franchise, if not an entirely new addition to Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six
