in the past years i only seen it on 3 companies, motorola, apple and microsoft.

all american, and motorola it's lost all it marketshare and profits.

that's good link u posted...I am surprised i never came across such posts or forum talking abt the disc read error...that really sucks when we play most loved games...well i use to have problems with memory card...sometimes not saving even when the card is empty or the freezing. Luckily I never experienced the disc read error with ps2.

Negative marketing usually produces negative results.

Sony doesnt want to get into a marketing pissing contest with MS. MS could afford to go the distance, Sony currently can not. The Con's outweigh the Pro's in that situation (IMO).

It's funny when some people bring up the PS1 and PS2 problems in a thread that is about the 360 problems.  Well my PS1 and PS2 never had problems but I guess some peoples did but the thing is they are old consoles.  This is the new gen.  No need to compare the 360 problems with the PS1 and PS2 problems unless you think the 360 belongs with the last gen consoles PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox.  I thought the PS3 and 360 was only being compared since they are the HD consoles out.  Compare the 360 problems with the PS3's not the old consoles.  That is getting old.

I'm not telling you what to do son.  There's no need to compare old consoles problems to the newer ones to me but you can say what ever make you feel good.
