Forums - Sales - Tony Hawk Ride, why bother with the Wii version?

Umm because Activision doesn't want to alienate Wii owners with one of its biggest franchises?

Pixel Art can be fun.

I'm sorry, I just thought that Activision's peripheral based gaming line still sells strongly.

Pixel Art can be fun.

It is a giant WTF for BB owners. No Deal

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I wont bother with anoter tony hawk game, those were good for me in the ps1 days, great games and fun, after underground on the ps2 I think the series went to hell, especially this generation.

No BB compatability is a huge mistake. They are severely limiting their sales on the Wii platform, then they are going to complain that games don't sell on the Wii.

"¿Por qué justo a mí tenía que tocarme ser yo?"

is there even online for the wii version? Tony hawk games started going downhill after the Pro Skater games. Underground was really good as well, and American Wasteland was pretty good to, but the rest were just boring and not fun.

Last Tony Hawk game I enjoyed was from the ps1 days, so definitely this isn't a title on my radar but it is odd that activision would not add in balance board support with a standalone version

“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life." - author unknown

All three versions, PS3, 360 and Wii, cost the same $119 and all three of them come with the same board. Yet the Wii graphics are well below the quality of the HD version. I just don't see the reason to buy the Wii version for the same price at all.

Console graphic whore always make me laugh. It's time to upgrade to the real deal and stop playing with your toy and wannabe. Get yourself a PC, you guys are just making fool of yourself now.
