@Zlejedi

Nice try, but Sega's best-selling IP is M&S, Marvelous best-selling efforts on WiiDS as well ;)

We knew for a long time that casual stuff and mini games collection sell on Wii and Sega has additional bonus of having Mario there.

@Soriku - so FPS and jRPG are niche games now? :)

They can still ignore it, you know 'only in Japan or something'.

yeah like when white knight chronicles outsold all the 360 JRPG.

JRPG's are niche... FPS... not so much. There's no excuse for them not to sell.

Jesus christ, its actually a joke.

I thought it was amusing.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

@Zlejedi

Then next time you should be more specific, instead of "3rd party games don't sell on Nintendo systems" say "3rd party _hardcore_ games don't sell on Nintendo systems". See? The latter is good trolling, not former.

Im not. This is a stupid thread... im using it only to have more post.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

Hey, I've got one!

Ahem. Sure, it sold well, but it would have sold better on PS360.

Eh? Eh?!

Good one! Hmm, I know!

Ahem. Sure it sold well, but we're only interested in how it sold outside of Japan.

Eh? Eh?!

Tease.

hahahaha so true...I like the Music!!

Fair argument, lets compare it too the Monster Hunter Titles coming out for the 360 and PS3

....

YEAH!  RIGHT ON BROTHER!  If Wii can't sell FPS...*sees Call of Duty*

THANKS A LOT ACTIVISON!  HOPE YOU CHOKE ON THAT PROFIT!

Marvelous is a niche pub/dev period.

Are you kidding there making blockbuster games!  I mean theres a game about a young boy who becomes king....in some kind of overhead view...also he doesn't just do that he makes people waork...Work?  That the word?  I mean this forum is piling with people who talk about those weird overhead view games all the time, not games with guns.

Also that other game about Japanese mythology,  which I heard is big with the guys at work,  its like the camera is stuck in a single position also and some hot chick is there but ya cant see her bits so I guess it appeals to girls or something...

Or that game called Flower, Sun and Rain...old people LOVE gardening games, also its on the DS, the old people system.

Seriously how is Marvelous Niche?

Right on my hardcore brother!  Who wants to play as games with cross over popular characters anyway?  Its not like the 360 or PS3 fanbase ever got excited of a port of say....a dreamcast game.  Or excited for sequals for that matter.  All original or nothing, thats the hardcore way.

"Capcom games don't count."

I wish  But apparently, there no longer the shovelware developer that made Strider for the Nes like I remebered.

You do know the weakest HW has always had the most success, right?

My memory hazy but I'm quite sure the Neo Geo pounded the SNES and Genesis,  Also if I remeber recently the gamecube and Xbox were whooping the PS2.
