I don't understand why you wouldn't just wait for the English version. Seriously, people have no patience sometimes.
Instead pay more for a version you will struggle to understand just because you can't wait 6 months.

Same thing happens even without imports.
If Activision price MW2 at $80, people will still rush out to buy it day 1 even though in 2 months it could be half price.

@dahuman
I am actually using USBLoaderGX so maybe that is why.
@Superchunk
I played majority of Wii titles that actually interest me and it isn't many to be honest with you. I am doing this so I can at least see if I would enjoy the gameplay in a title like this. I do not plan to play all the way through but I i'll be damned if anyone expected me to pay import fees and retail price just to find out the game isn't my cup of tea.
If I really like it I will buy it, as I did with the 14 Wii games I own along with my 24 PS3 titles and 16 360 titles. (PS3 and 360 are done through Gamefly as well as some Wii titles)
Also some games like Mario Party 8 run so much better this way.
I wish the Wii would have allowed installs similar to 360 titles since the start. Also would be nice if they had some damn demos.

well..
I guess you should atleast learn the 46 Katakana symbols, for they often are used to write english words in japanese.
That could be helpful as I expect Monster Hunter to be a game with many "english" words (or better "engrish" .. you need some experience to know which english word they really mean when transcribing something from katakana to roman letters).
@Lafiel
I have actually been in the process of learning some of that so I may (not likely) be able to import FFXIII for the PS3 when it releases later this year.
Not sure if I will learn in time though.
I'm impatient right now and in need of some JRPGs.

Yea, same here .. I already memorized ~950 of the ~2000 Joyo-Kanji (and ofc all Hiragana/Katakana), but still every sentence seems to be filled with symbols I have yet to learn *sigh*.
I plan to import Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 and maybe FF13 (depending on whether or not the PS3 version will have optional jpn. voice overs, although the english ones didn't sound bad) once I learned all of those.
Take that you PIRATE!
Wait for the North American Release.
:P
^ LOL.
