Indeed, I despise, and I mean absolutely despise the PS3 controller. I always thought I hated dual analog controls, but I recently got a 360 and now I know I hated my PS3 controllers.

The 360 controller was ment for FPS's and it works perfectly with them, I actually play most of my PC games with the 360 controller.

LOL how come X360 and PS3 are in different positions since they have the same type of classic control with dual analog?

It has to do with the preference of the Xbox 360 controller's concave tops of analog sticks and triggers as well as the left analog stick placement versus the PS3 controller.

That's the same thing. Dual analog. With button placement and form a little diferent. It's the same control scheme, whoever plays good on 360 can in a matter of minutes be playing good a ps3 pad.

Same thing doesn't happens with people that go from m&k to dual analog. Or from Wii to M&K.

I understand your rant, but it is the same as me being bitching that I prefer alienware keyboards to play than logitech ones, and claiming it is a different experience when it is basically mouse and keyboard with buttons in other places.

cappice? :P

Mouse and keyboard is the best.

Dual analog and Wii are probably tied. The thing I hate about the Wiimote is that you have to point to the outer edge of the screen in order to turn. When the action is concentrated on the center of the screen, and stays concentrated on the center of the screen, the Wiimote is awesome. When the action takes place all around, the Wiimote stumbles, and I prefer dual analog.

No you don't. That just happened in the first FPS's for the console, Red Steel and the first Medal of Honor.

Since Metroid Prime 3 the FPS's gameplay on the Wii has been excelent. Now with the conduit I think that the FPS controls for the Wii are completely nailed. The Conduit is just the FPS with the best gameplay this gen for me.

So then....how do you turn...

I just don't like free-aiming.  I didn't like it in Operation Flashpoint, I turned it off in Armed Assault, and I don't like that it's inherent in all Wii FPS games.  Resident Evil 4 was excellent because you didn't have to worry about your viewpoint changing just because you were aiming at an enemy at the edge of the screen.  That game used the analog stick to control the viewpoint, giving the Wiimote free reign over the entire screen, at the cost of being able to move and shoot.

EDIT:  Nevermind about what I said about Resident Evil 4.  I thought about it again, and realized I was wrong about it's controls.

Second Edit:  Wait, I might have been right.  I can't really remember, can any clarify for me?  It's been over a year since I've played it.

Mouse and Keyboard, 360 Pad, PS3 Pad, Wiimote

Well it is a matter of taste then. It works perfect. You have the lock on button, as also free aiming option which you don't like because with dual analog having a target no centered in the midle of the screen can be annoying yeah. I played GRAW2 with that option enabled and it wasn't a good experience.

Ah, yes, lock-on.  I'm not a big fan of that in FPS games.

So I bet you just hate CoD =)
