Basically, as game consoles get more and more complex with more moving parts and whatnot, they are more prone to some kind of failure, especially over the past 2 gens where all systems were CD/DVD based (except for N64). Cartridge-based systems are nearly fail-proof... still got my Atari 7800 and it works like its brand new! |
