Yea I know the lens is cheaper, but after taking apart the ps3 and looking at it ima pass on ripping the drive apart. Just decided to replace whole thing instead of risking breaking anything else. They definately made it much more of a pain in the ass to switch the lens on the ps3 compared to the ps1/ps2.
