Forums - Nintendo - Call of Duty is comming to Wii this November

I find this a little strange on Activision's part, especially since they just could have made Infinity Ward port the second like they were supposed to, but more cultivation of the Call of Duty brand on Wii can't be a bad thing.

I don't really care, since this game is probably going to release directly against New Super Mario Bros Wii (just wait, Nintendo will be the one company to directly challenge MW2, and clean up just like in the GTAIV vs Mario Kart Wii scenario)

I wish the PS3/360 trolls would just leave. Us Wii owners are happy (some of us) so just pop off.

Why trolling ? If I were a Wii only owner I would be pretty pissed right now. That move from Activision is disgrace to every Wii owner.

They think they can jerk you around by giving you a port of a 2 year old game, while the sequel is coming out on almost every other available platform.

If you're all that much of a Modern Warfare fan, you probably already own one of the systems it can run on. As a Wii-only owner (albeit one with a great gaming PC) I have to say I'm amused, but not particularly fussed, by this move, and I don't think I'm in the minority here.

All I'm saying is that Activision is trying to rip off every Wii owner. The game might be good, but it's still not morally acceptable IMO.

Well, IMO it's not morrally acceptable to release the [almost] same game every year (GH, FIFA, MADDEN, NBA,CoD).... and still, I don't get in those threads to say that the companies are trying to rip off every wii/ps3/x360 owner.

But you could cause that's exactly what they do *rolleyes*

Maybe Activision kept Infinity Ward from releasing MW2 Wii so they could sell MW1 Wii first.

do you know, if it were Ubisoft doing this, there would be calls of a boycott right about now....why no similar suggestion to activision?

Really, Activision? I mean, I don't know what else to say about this. I'm not angry...that would be kind of silly, but still.......really, Activision?

What place does morality have in the business world? Activision's made no secret that it's intent on milking consumers for every penny they can get (and truth be told, I respect them for their honesty, if not their sentiment). Sure this is probably a bad deal for the wii consumer, since we're getting a two-year old game rather than the new one, but what of it?

We as consumers have the right to transfer our dollars to one of the many better Wii games coming out in that time period instead, a right which I personally intend to exercise. In the meantime, the group of people who want to play the Wii version of Modern Warfare will soon have the option. I personally think of it as a win-win, to be honest. Does it suck that MW2 isn't coming this year to the Wii? Sure. Is Activision clearly being pretty lazy here? I'd imagine so. Does any of this warrant outrage? I'd argue an emphatic "no."

I agree with noname on this.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

This is very, very good news. I always wanted this game, but my laptop is too weak to run it well and XBOX 360 and PS3 versions have terrible controls.
Activision: Please take the control settings found in "The Conduit" and DO NOT WATER DOWN THE ORIGINAL LIKE YOU DID WITH COD: WORLD AT WAR!
I plan to preorder this game.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy.

That was the same thing I asked myself LOL
