N64, NGC, XB, XB360 and now the PS3 all (did) have markets in which they where weak.

GBA and SNES are the exception.
Nintendo doesn't do it anymore. Why? You can answer that question by yourself.

People in America feel that the Xbox 360 = Gawd because mainly of Halo 3 + Xbox Live which in in americas eyes = the gods grace of gaming.

So in conclusion, EU/UK people are smart enough to know whats what.
