Forums - Sony - It seems GTPlanet knows the release date of GT5. :O

Don’t tell anyone, but GTPlanet has learned the tentative release date for Gran Turismo 5 through an unofficial but extremely reliable source.  Since the date has not been officially published and Sony could still change it at their leisure, we will not be saying anything specific to keep from eating an unhealthy dose of crow.  What we can say, however, is that a 2009 release is almost certain.

It has to be noted that the GTPlanet owner whom posted the rumour does not fuck around when it comes to this kind of stuff meaning he knows something. Someone whom I am sure people that follow GT know of must have finally told him of when the game will be releasing.

Gamescom............gamescom. :)

It also makes sense when you look at what Sony is releasing from first/second party. Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted and that is it so GT5 coming this year looking very likely now.

I think this is the 3rd worst kept secret of all time.

LOL @ carl the worst part is sony never learns.

as the french site was saying ...

11th december

so the only unknow stuff is "how much $ for the PS3 slim ?!"

Time to Work !

Don't think Sony gives a shit TBH. PSP Go, Slim and GT5 will most probably be releasing this year no matter is people do or do not know about them. I'm just thinking about the impact a slim console and GT5, FFXIII in Japan will do for sales.

GT5 looks to be the 'launch title' for the slim.
GT Mobile looks to be the 'launch title' for the Go.

I expect GT5 to sell 2 million first week WW with massive legs.

And this bad boy makes Sony's line-up alot stronger looking.

GT5 + Motorstorm: Pacific Rift = Sony as master of racing games. IMO at least. :)
