In 2006, Sony decided to start tracking how many consoles and games they sold all the way through to customers, not just to retailers (which is how most other companies record "sales").

I think it is you who wants to interpret something different.

I know he wrote that. But he is simply wrong. He misunderstood the tracking method.

Kotaku is just a blog, they're not experts or superhuman.

It's 23.8 million PS3s shipped to retail. It's a well established fact here on VGC, which is a console sales tracking site unlike Kotaki who is just a general gaming blog.

Nor are you...but you sure act like it!

Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.

The Adventures Of Duane and Brando

Kotaku just don't know what they're doing amirite? *rolls eyes*

A link (or whatever you deem proof) to the assertion that Kotaku is wrong, would be nice please.

people who don't read the FAQs and then make threads about it should be banned.

I'm not going to post a link because I'm lazy, but you can dig through sony's press notes from back in 2006

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit
11/03/09 Desposit: Mod Bribery (RolStoppable)  vg$ 500.00
06/03/09 Purchase: Moderator Privilege  vg$ -50,000.00

The Thunder, I'm trying to find this holy FAQ of sales you speak of.

kowenicki I can't avoid it...

MikeB just said ignoring part of 360's sales is unfair for the PS3. LOL.

Yeap. One only has to look at the "PS3 now 70% Cheaper to Produce" thread to see slime acting like an "expert".
