The KING of ALL consoles is the Atari2600 considering the videogame market was more than 100 times smaller than it is now it would have sold 400,000,000 in todays market!

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

People are a big fan of power, then it is in the hands of a dominant company that they worship (you would be surprised). Last gen, they weren't a fan of power. They were fans of large sums of games. Psychologically as long as something says Sony, they will react.
