John will get it. He isn't used to the PS3's tech so give him time. He might bitch and complain like he always does with new tech but at least he isn't like Gabe Newell who complains without trying.

you are correct.

gabe newell should quit scoffing the meat pies and get some work done for a change the fat cunt!

Of course, lost in this PS3/360 fight is the fact that Carmack is saying that the PC version runs at 60 FPS, fits on one Blu Ray, and has higher detail / AA, but hey, feel free to fight over which inferior version is more superior-y.

fixed =) Game looks good, the megatextures ability to render giant textures is impressive. But I get the feeling it's a Fallout 3 rip everytime I read the preview in Game Informer...

Sure, whichever way you want to spin it. I'd also accept: "Tallest Midget Competition" as a reasonable metaphor.

Well to be fair it really is fun to watch midgets fight.

This game looks awesome.

John Carmack did say ages............................................. ago that it took more time and effort to get the same level of performance from the PS3 than it did from the Xbox 360 and he essentially had to give the PS3 his best coders to bring it up to par with the Xbox 360 version.

BTW the ROP units run at 500mhz on the PS3, not 550.

Tease.

Midgets is offensive. The titches prefer to be called little people.

I thought the 3 or 4 disc thing was about Doom 4. " We can cut it into two pieces. We've got two large wastelands on there. We just couldn't make an arbitrary cut. But Doom 4 is being set up so that it's all most certainly going to be cut up to three DVD's versus one Blu-ray." John Carmack GI interview.

This is true. You could also legitimately argue that watching two midgets fight is a lot more amusing than watching two taller people fight.

Four disks? That is crazy.

This is fun...according to ps fan, he evidently doesn't know much about programming...
