Even though I think this looks like it deserves it, I severely doubt it'll pass the PSP iterations - That would be nigh impossible, even, at least in Japan. However, I have no doubt it'll do way better than the PS2 iterations.

Guys, don't be silly. Of course Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii will outsell the PSP iterations. It's not like the PSP has a higher userbase in Japan, or the series first got popular on it.

Anywho, it reminds me of the Coppertone ad.

It WON'T outsell PSP iterations, portable consoles are now very popular in Japan, while home consoles are dying.

The game is shipping 1 million units, so the demand is there from retailers. At least 400k first week is a guarantee now.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Capcom would be really stupid to not push this overseas; along with Wii's install base and reach, MH3 could be REALLY BIG.

I'm optimistic about this game too but not that much. Install base or not, I don't think it will outsell the PSP versions. I think it will good, million seller and all, but probably won't reach 2 million. It could but not quickly.
