Actually it shows the huge gap between a high end console game and a high end PC game.
There is no doubt UC2 is on the high end of console games, but there are many computer games that look better than any game on a console, including, but not limited to, GRID, Resident Evil 5, Crysis and Crysis Warhead, Farcry 2, and pretty much any old thing.
UC2 is on the high end, but it doesn't look much better than other high end games, like RE5, or Gears 2. Post some screens, take off the glasses, and compare some screens from those games and UC2, and try to tell me there is a huge difference.
In fact, the other day, you claimed you couldn't even tell the difference between the terrible screenshot of prologue, and the excellent, handpicked bullshot of Forza 3, yet you say that Uncharted 2 is vastly superior to RE5, or Gears 2, or even Forza 3?
Honestly, the reason this game is getting hyped is because it's Sony exclusive, and it's a graphical showcase. It's basically one of the few good games hitting the PS3 this Xmas, and the only big one that isn't fully multiplat, so of course it's getting these types of threads.
It looks way shittier than Crysis which came out 2 years ago, so no, it's not the king of anything, and saying it is, is lowering the goalposts and marginalizing the competition.
Hype your PS3 exclusive all you want, but for christs sakes, stop trying to use it to make other games look bad. Especially when the graphics aren't even arguably significantly better than the best we've seen ON OTHER CONSOLES.
...and yes, I beat this thread and your game with my screenshot. I apologize. I didn't know it was going to be quoted to hell and back. I figured people already knew such a disparity existed. I guess many didn't.

I run crysis on Very High with a 200 dollar graphics card, in a 500 dollar prebuilt acer, with Vista, at a higher frame-rate than Uncharted 2 will run, final build, on the PS3.

Uncharted runs 1280 by 720 with 2xMSAA, an HD 4890 achieves as good if not better frame rate on Crysis Warhead Very High with 4xAA and 25% extra resolution.

GPU alone can't run a game.
you need powersource, motherboard, ram, CPU (which similar to the cell can go over 500$-1000$), windows license (200$ for home premium).

Yup! I wouldn't have even posted in this thread if it didn't insult other games by the proclaimation that Uncharted 2 is a graphics king. The fact that CGI_Quality, whom proclaims himself to be unbiased condones the thread title is pretty... disapointing.
