on high crysis = Tri sli 8800 37fps.

no thanks :).

I run crysis on Very High with a 200 dollar graphics card, in a 500 dollar prebuilt acer, with Vista, at a higher frame-rate than Uncharted 2 will run, final build, on the PS3.

Do you think I'm lying?

http://kotaku.com/333598/1800-in-video-cards-still-doesnt-max-crysis

yes i do,  of course that was 1.7 years ago. but ps3 was 400$-500$.

Uncharted runs 1280 by 720 with 2xMSAA, an HD 4890 achieves as good if not better frame rate on Crysis Warhead Very High with 4xAA and 25% extra resolution.

$200 Video card.

Apples to apples and all that, it wouldn't be fair to ask a computer to do what a console cannot.

GPU alone can't run a game.

you need powersource, motherboard, ram, CPU (which similar to the cell can go over 500$-1000$), windows license (200$ for home premium).

etc etc. ;).

I put my chumping to the test, and I came up with this!

  • Athlon II X2 2.9GHZ
  • 4GB Corsair Ram
  • 500GB HDD
  • ECS Microatx Mobo (Pretty good reviews)
  • XFX 4850 1GB (Dual slot cooler +++)
  • Rosewill case/500W PSU (good reviews)
  • Windows Vista 64 (Apparantly it can be upgraded to 7 when that comes out for free?)

$493 + shipping/taxes with $35 Mail in rebate should you so desire.

Im lazy so links are below:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150351

Video card $117

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488

OS $99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.215959

PSU + Case combo $53 with $9.90 shipping

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.235851

Mobo + CPU + Ram + HDD combo

Now, it would be difficult to out chump the chump master, yes?

Funny you should mention that, considering I just specced that up for someone.

It could definately do very high at 1280/1024 resolution with a 30 FPS average.
