| 7.0 | Presentation The menu system is barebones, but effective. A shame the widescreen conversion wasn't given more effort--it's a necessary addition to a modern game, but sloppy edges are an unfortunate side effect. |
| 7.0 | Graphics The "crisp" video filter breathes new life into the aging sprites, some of which date back to 1994. The backgrounds actually hold up to more modern graphics and other special effects scale well in HD. |
| 7.0 | Sound Mercifully, this port has the option to adjust the volume of the music--an option not in the Dreamcast original--which means it can be silenced completely. No, you will not take me for a ride. |
| 8.7 | Gameplay It's a timeless fighter that still enjoys a serious tournament scene, which should speak to the quality of the gameplay. The character balance will always be something detractors bring up. |
| 10 | Lasting Appeal I've already spent more than three thousand hours playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I only stopped when my Dreamcast died. Chances are the game's appeal will outlast the life of any console. |

I don't like what they did with the 360 review. I don't think it's ok to penalize so much just because of the controls.
edited by a mod so maybe people will take note:
The reivew never mentions controls, "Our 360 copy of the game has a few frame hiccups on character selection and at the start of matches that don't appear on PS3," Nothing about the 360 controller being the reason for a lessenned gameplay score.
