Forums - Gaming - Who could care less about online in their games?

I'm not that bothered about online. I prefer a quality single-player campaign that's relatively long, with a deep storyline and quality action. Whilst online can be fun, I find it can also be ruined by idiots.

The phrase is 'I COULDN'T care less', not 'I could care less'. I have seen this mistake made by so many people on this forum.

I'm not that fond of online. If there's is, great, but it shouldn't be the focus of the game, like many out there. A MP in Valkyria would be great, but nothing beats the single player campaing. I would be ofended, actually, if they did a good MP, but a burocratic SP, like many games.

I love online stuff. If it's co-op, all the better.

I find that people that hate to lose generally don’t like online. I think people are afraid of being in last place and getting ridiculed. People need to just suck it up and understand that the more they play the better they will get as it is in single player. As long as you don’t have someone ruining it with hacks/exploits… Online gaming is awesome. It definitely extends the life of a game which is fine by me!

I like online...
though I hate how online = pay for tiny DLC, map packs etc on concoles...

I would not mind having online only on PC, but yeah games like MKWii are a great fit for online with friends and familly that are more casual.

Coop... I'd rather it be all local, cause I can get people to play with me and it's fun locally, but online, none of my friends are into games enough to buy consoles (or they are too much to play coop and are stuck to their Halo guild...)

Yes, its can extend the lifetime of a game but it annoys me that it appears to have had a detrimental effect on the single-player campaign in numerous games. I prefer to have a story as it gives what I'm doing some context other then just going online for the sake of beating people. I actually really enjoy online co-op for that reason. Don't get me wrong, I love getting head shots in CoD, enjoy Left 4 Dead & Resistance 2 co-op and back in the day played loadsa Counterstrike and Age of Empires 2. But, too many developers seem to forget about single player this gen.

I like online quite a lot, so I could definitely care less about it.

I'm probably the only person on this site who has never even tried to play any game online (not even Mario Kart Wii).

I was actually pretty anti-online gaming myself, bucause I think the SP suffers with a lot of games. That was pre-horde mode though . . . I am transformed!
