I think GT5 will most likely release this year. In 2010 there are just too many games.

Tell me this, why wouldn't GT5 release this fall?
It's the most likely time for bundles, slims and price cuts and on the PS3 this game has no real racing competition. Yes there's need for speed, but you'l notice that when need for speed game's drift away from cop chases and go for a more 'sim' approach, they don't sell well.

As for the game being ready, Kazunori has already stated that it's ready 'any time'

Yes, though It's not on the PS3, so I wouldn't say it's competition for PS3 owners' money.

not even 2 months before release, that would seem a bit short to me for a game like this to not have had an offical date.... Sony likes to brag too much for that...

It does fit with the TGS idea... but I doubt it, I still say wait for gamescon. It would be hard to cover up shipping several million copies of GT 5 to retailers without anyone knowing, and it would be annoying if we only got 1 day's notice
