Forums - Nintendo - So I might get a Wii for Wii fit, what other good games?

Never thought the bathroom scale would sucker me in, but I think my wife wants one. Her friend loves her Wii fit, and my wife already exercises to a 3 mile walk DVD.

So what other Great (not good, great) games are there? I already have a 360 and have high standards for gameplay since the Wii graphics are lacking. So for example I don't care about Metroid as the 360 has shooters covered.

I was thinking Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and SM Galaxy. Any other suggestions, great games only?

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

implying high standards for gameplay are doubtful on a Nintendo system.

Asides, since ur married with kids, i assume, get de Blob, Boom Blox, anything nintendo first party, on rails shooters, PES 09, TW with WM+ and atleast one fps (controls will convince u, its not just about graphics).

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Ohh now u will prob. not like Wiifit, to me its boring, so get WSR bcoz its as great as WS and its fun.

wait for wii fit plus. more exercises, worth it.

Metroid is a first person adventure game. Calling Metroid a shooter is like calling the Legend of Zelda a hack and slash game.

Agreed. The Metroid Prime series is almost entirely unique in the gaming world and lumping it in with FPS isn't appropriate and shows a misuderstanding of what the game is about.

So my suggestion to you if you want a great, unique game that is astonishing value, Metroid Trilogy.

Sports games don't really interest me, and I'm afarid I'd fall and hurt myself playing the balance board snow board game.

Hmmm, I am a sucker for light gun games so I might like the rail shooters. I used to like to play Area51 in the arcade with two light guns.

It'll probably be the next Wii Fit as I don't think I'll get it till Christmas. Wii Play is another obvious pick just for another controller. Probably one of the minigame collections too.

Finding things my wife likes will be tricky as she hates gaming for the most part, and I can't see her playing typical female games like animal crossing.

I say if it has the Nintendo logo in the right hand corner and doesn't have Wii in the name then it is a good game. With a few exceptions (Donkey Kong: Bongo Blast). Also look into MadWorld and The Conduit although you say your 360 has all the shooters you need, so Conduit might not appeal to you as much!
