Forums - Gaming - Accessory Fatigue for the Wii

I haven't bought Wii Sports Resort yet, although it seems most reviews are favorable.  For me, it's down to fatigue with all the accessories I've accumulated for the Wii since I bought it a few years ago.  There's the Nun-chucks, classic controller, Gamecube controllers (for SSBB) balance board, and steering wheels.  With all the accessories, the Wii has probably cost me more than a PS3 by now.  And I have never bought Guitar Hero or Rock Band so I don't have all those peripherals taking up space.  I have a fairly good sized space under my TV, but it's filling up and I just don't know if I want to go out and get even more peripherals.

Eventually, I'll probably end up with Wii Motion Plus because there will be some game that will tell me it's worth it, but I don't think Sports Resort is that game.

Am I the only one who thinks this way, or are there others who are tired of having to buy peripherals because they want to play a new game?

Holy shit, I didn't know I could use those on the Wii!

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

im not buying ANY accessories till Im covinced I need them

You don't really need the GC controllers for SSBB, you can play very well with just the mote and the chuck, or just the mote. You don't need the steering wheels, you can play MK without it anyway. Balance Board is just for select games.

That would be like saying that you NEED the PSEye, or the Dual Shock 3, or the wireless KB, or an arcade stick, or a steering wheel.

Then don't buy them in the first place.

I have 3 Wii remotes, 2 nunchucks and now a motion plus, which I will turn into 2 M+ when I get WSR.

Oh and a wheel, but that came with Mario Kart and I don't use it much. I'm not fool enough to buy more of them if I don't want them.

Oh, and 2 GC controllers, but then I already had them from my GC.

----

It's basically like saying: Accessory fatigue for 360, damn having to buy 4 controllers and 4 chargers and 4 headsets and a bigger TV so that it is worth it.
or: Accessory fatigue for PS3, damn headsets/HDMIcables/PSeye/new TV etc

If you want extra wheels and gun attachements don't complain you have too many. Most people will get along just fine with 2 remotes and 2 nunchucks... then add in whatever you need in addition to that (general enthusiastic local multiplayer gamer shouldn't "need" more than 4 remotes, 2 nunchucks, 2 classic/GC controllers... and now perhaps 2 mtions pluses)

lol. How is this on topic? Do you have to mention the 360 in every thread...really.

This thread is in the wrong forum, so maybe he didn't read the thread title properly and just replied that he doesn't need any of Microsoft's accessories.

Yep. I see your point.

That space under your T.V. is going to fill up even more if you buy the Wii Motion Plus. That one and one quarter inch device that plugs into the bottom of you Wii Remote will take up way too much space.
