Or it could be a mistake.

Gamefly has been the srouce of a number of leaks over the past few years, such as Guilty Gear and Lost Blue for Wii.  They have yet to (as far as I know) list anything that doesn't actually exist.  Gamefly has been as accurate as the ESRB when it comes to leaks, as far as I've seen.

Then I guess that's good news for RPG hungry PS3 owners.  I'm curious about who is porting it though.  SE doesn't seem too interested in putting anything out on the PS3 that isn't FF, and Tri-ace doesn't seem large enough to do the porting and work on Resonance of Fate at the same time.

They were obviously working on both Star Ocean 4 and Resonance of Fate at the same time, given how far along RoF was at its announcement, so I don't see why they couldn't work on a port of one and continue with the other as well.

Hell, given Resonance of Fate's upcoming Japanese release date (it's set for Q4), they were probably working on it before even finishing Infinite Undiscovery (which only came out last September), which means they were working on three games simultaneously.  Tri-ace is a surprisingly robust company.

I forgot about Infinite Undiscovery, and didn't realize RoF was going to release so soon.  That's 3 HD RPGs released in a little over a year.  Crazy.

And both already released ones have some quality issues. Altrough i guess disk swapping wont be a problem anymore with SO4 :D

Hopefully true, I've been avoiding the 360 release due to the voice acting.
Would't mind getting this game for the PS3.

I bought a 360 for the jRPGs, because I didn't care for Halo and Gears and the other games were on PC and PS3. The one really good jRPG from 360 is now coming to PS3. I've always thought this one would as well. Right now, my Wii and PS3 are on my entertainment system and the 360 is getting less and less attention by the day. All in all, I think jRPGs will be sticking with Japanese consoles (Sony and Nintendo), which makes total sense.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

I couldn't finish this game, the voice acting was too grating, its the same reason why I stopped playing FFX-2 and nearly didn't finish X.

Gameplay was fine though, I didn't find the targeting system annoying, its cumbersome but not really anything that gets my feather riled. Edge was generic but the story was enjoyable.

But oh god the voice! It was almost as bad X-Edge.

If a PS3 version exist and it has original VA, I might trade my version in... otherwise no deal.

If it´s true, it should come with the option to turn off those annoying voices during cutscenes, just like you can (or so I´ve heard) during battles.

If true I hope they fix all the problem.

Oh wow, people have gone from trashing Star Ocean 4 (they're wrong), to trashing Golden Sun. I don't see why people whine about the lack of RPGs this gen when they can't appreciate any of them unless they're on their preferred platform.

Yeah, if it isn't on PS3, it's pretty much "garbage."

Where are the people hating on ToV and LO then?  Just look around and see that there are people that legitimately didn't like the game as much as you without any ulterior movite.  Deal with that and move on.

Are you kidding? Lost Odyssey got bashed to high hell (along with Blue Dragon) when it came out. People still bash it but it has calmed down since theg ame is old news now.

And Vesperia gets trashed too, just not here. It would be silly to use this place as a example when it's probably the only forum on the internet with its own Yuri Defense Force.

And there are people who bash Valkyria, I mean hell, Nightwish did it just now.  But these games are mostly held in high regard, which goes against his idea that people dislike SO4 solely because it isn't on PS3, otherwise why don't these same people dislike ToV and LO as well?

No they aren't, at least Lost Odyssey isn't. It got bashed then tossed to the side when it didn'tmatter anymore. Vesperia (and DotNW) on the other hand pretty much sparked outrage at the entire franchise, people kept saying it didn't matter because Tales was mediocre, there were too many games, Xbox 360 lol, etc. When they caught wind that it might come to PS3, the trash talk took a nosedive and suddenly people were begging for it like starving dogs.

That's the modus operandi of PS3 fanboys Claude. I've gotten used to it at this point. It reminds of the Penny Arcade comic about Bioshock coming to PS3.

@Kantor

I remember distinctly warning PS3 fanboyss that ES was disappointment. Other 360 owners tried to warn them as well. They pretty accused us of saying it sucked because it was coming to PS3.....until they played it that is. PS3 owners need to pick up Tales of Vesperia. SO4 is a bigger disappointment than Eternal Sonata ever was. Star Ocean was an established top tier JRPG IP. I expected much better. I may have to put the game on mute to finish it because Lymle is just terrible. Never though I see character that annoyed me more than ToS2's Emil so soon.

Really? Because I didn't see the slightest bit of hype for the PS3 version at all. In fact, the only time I saw it mentioned in a thread was to say that LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 would destroy its sales.

Maybe they'll do it RIGHT this time.

They already did it RIGHT. Don't be mad it wasn't on your system.

My system? LOL thats how stuff gets started.

If they did it right it wouldn't have been a repetitive mess. I rented it on Xbox 360 and returned it two days early.

can't wait for Track Season 2009/2010, guna beast out!
