Really? I mean it's really more profitable to make a new games than adding old games to the catalog?


Nintendo themselves probably make as much from a WiiWare title as a VC titles since there's no production cost to them either way.

So if WW really is selling more then sure, put more of that and less VC.  That would also help WW developers to earn more.

However, I don't this is 'official'.  It sounds more like a Customer Service agent talking out of their ass.

I suspect the real reason is because Nintendo has accumulated a glut of WW games and needs to get them all out so the developers can recoop.

I own far more VC games than I do WiiWare games but they just keep releasing crap games for it.  I think the last good game they released for it was Super Punch Out that I bought.  It seems like the only time we get a good VC game is when a major game like Punch Out gets released or when they hit a milestone like the 200th VC game to be released.  Where the hell are all of my favorite N64 games, and countless NES and SNES games.

I sent an e-mail to Nintendo support and they said they would be increasing the number of VC releases and they would start releasing more good games. They also said they are going to make a brand new Nintendo Channel that would include WiiWare demos (like the DS demos).




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

lol, I have 1 WW and I think 19 VC. Oh well, there is still 1 WW I want and 5 or so VC titles. So no rush.

I'm sure this just means it will slow down VC releases. No biggie. Still a ton more games to dl on Wii than PS360.

Yeah back in the day, these days the quality matches the flash games you get as interactive advertisements on websites.

 

 

Have you ever played any Commodore 64 games? You really are not giving them enough credit.
