Wuhu island reminds me of a mini Hyrule.

Death Mountain, Hyrule Castle, Lake Hylia. I got goosebumps sword fighting my way through enemies on the castle level of Showdown.

Of course! The Mario Sports games would obviously fit well. I don't think Nintendo will be bothered by little logic issues such as an otherwise human-world setting being populated by Koopas and the like for the sake of a couple of games.

I think Nintendo have a lot of options if they want to make Wuhu a familiar location for gamers.
