Happens a lot less.  Reason being... we're freer when it comes to freedom of expression.  No one ffeels repressed and idiots get treated like idiots, not martyrs.

See, this is what happens when the BNP are more popular than the current party who has power.

It sickens me, it really does.

The BNP is Nazi lite pure and simple. I don't really like the two party system in America very much but atleast it keeps people like these out of power. (most of the time)

the popularity of the BNP is to do with people being ignorant sods, not the political system in usage, if people dont vote for them,, they cant go anywhere under any system.

Obviosly people being ignorant xenophobes has a lot to do with their populartiy, but if the a similar party to the BNP were to have the same amount of popularity they still would only dream of being elected anywhere besides to some city council seat in some backwater part of the country. An American National(nazi) party could poll higher than the BNP does in the UK but they still wouldnt be able to gain any seats in congress.

The system we use also prevents smaller parties from getting into power, the BNP don't have any seats in Westminster.

In fact, no "extreme" party has had a seat in Westminster, not even in the 30s when they were at their peak popularity.
