^ I have to disagree, I think GT5 will hit 6M with no PS3 price cut, up to 10M with a PS3 price cut. It's just the PS3 has shown me signs of pushing software, heck GTA4 hasn't even reached 7M on PS3 yet, although I guess going multiplat hurt that a bit....

If GTA4 was exclusive for either PS3 OR 360 it would be at 10 million+ by now on the chosen console.

I dont think Gran Turismo is popular in US enough anymore. Halo has hit 2 million in Europe and if thats not considered popular then GT in the US cant be.

True, but is GT as big as GTA? I know GT is massive, but that big? Anyway, we'll find out soon, and one thing I would say is that GT5 will be a game that Sony actually heavily advertise, I think prologue is still the most advertised game for the PS3 ive seen advertised here in the UK

GTA is bigger than Gran Turismo. Not by too much, but its certainly bigger.

Gran Turismo 5 will have the advantage too, of launching during a holiday season (we all know its going to happen).

There is also highly likely to be a slimline PS3 or a pricecut... which will also boost GT5 sales.

I think GT5 will easily outsell GTA4 on PS3 and be the first PS3 title to make 10million + sales.

And i almost forgot, the PS3 version of GTA4 wasnt advertised at all. Every advert what i saw in the UK was the 360 version.

Adding in the fact that GT5 will be the most advertised game this gen for Sony, and it will be on Top Gear... its a dead cert.

We will not be able to compare both until we get a GT this generation because this generation has shown that proven franchises sell very well. Also chances are that this will be the only GT game we get this generation meaning the legs on this one will be a monster, not Mario Kart Wii but still I expect it to pass 10 million.

GT5 needs to have released for a year in order to compare both franchises. Whatevr happens the GT franchise will continue and that is all I care about, it selling well does nothing else for me. I will not get all those cars Kaz gets as gifts if the game does or does not do well. That will be thanks to my job.

Wanna know something though? COD is bigger than both now, were COD4 exclusive to 360 it would have past Halo 3 by now with ease. What's solidifies that even more is that COD 4 still costs £30 while Halo 3 can be grabbed for £15.

Lowest selling GT in NA did 2.7m same as the best HAlo did in Europe, get it.  Seeing as NA are most concrened with damage and online GT5 will be back to its expected NA numbers, official Nascar support will ensure that.
