first, learn to read because no one spelled it that way. Second, you must not be a real gamer if you don't know

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

Nordlead Jr. Photo/Video Gallery!!! (Video Added 4/19/10)

@NJ5 IIRC the DS media is based off of the SD standard.

TBH I want them to return as I hate load times. A cartridge based console would need no optical drive or HDD and less ram, its perfect for a simple non internet enabled console.

Tease.

Cartridges are the best. Small, durable and fast. Disks are large, cumbersome and are easily damaged.

I miss them dearly.

I hate load times...

I am glad Sandisk is doing great work on the realm of flash space. (old news http://www.dpreview.com/news/0906/09062502sandisk.asp)

A Wii disc or a 360 disc are Dual Layed 8gb apx disc. A 8GB SD technology would be perfect. Just keep in mind that it only needs to be WORM not a re writeable. Which makes it cheaper. Ok I am assuming it makes it cheaper.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Well, I use them almost everyday, so no.

Man, after playing with discs and dealing with the sometimes rediculous loading times, I am starting to miss the old days where the cartridges went "bodda bing bodda boo" and almost instantly went to the next frame. I understand cartridges are considered obsolete in terms of graphical and sound capabilities, but it sure would be nice not to have to see the "please wait" or "loading" screen after choosing something new on the menu screen or making a confirmed choice. Anyone else feel the same?

When I think about the over all advantages of CDs, its hard to miss cartridges. The N64 was the best example of how cartridges were a thing of the past.
