Forums - Microsoft - MS answers Sony 40 GB PS3 with New Xbox 360 Bundles

sony vs microsoft for price/bundles/customers. Who's going to win. The consumer, hurray for capitalism. BTW, the only reason my wife let me buy a 360 was because of arcade.  And yes, I do mean let me.

Sony needs to put Warhawk w/ headset on the hard drives... then Sony would sell even more consoles.

That would actually be the worst possible game to bundle with any system. From what I understand Warhawk is only multiplayer, and requires an online connection. The obvious flaw is shockingly enough a large minority, or majority of console owners do not go online. They either lack the interest or as the infrastructure varies from region to region they might not have the physical capacity. Let alone the financial resources to do so.

@Dodece

Agreed, but Xbox Live can change a person decision because of all the features it contains. Better than Playstation Online.

Nice bundle.. i might actually consider one for christmas...

rrr...wii60 just sounds so horny

That Call of Duty 4 bundle doesn't sound like a bad idea, not bad at all.

The Core is still the worst mistake MS ever made any way you look at it, except maybe the overheating issues. Its terrible sales and the problems it causes in designing games for the other models do not justify its existence.

 There is one way, price. The Core launched at the same price as the Xbox. You think that wasn't a strategic marketing move? This way they could claim a decent price for the 360, even if you had to pay extra for the full version. Of course the Xbox had a hard drive at that price, but it was always sold at a loss, while the 360 has apparently been selling at a profit, even on the Core.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

people here are apparently dense. The arcade bundle isn't meant to be perfect out of the gate, the main idea of it will likely be to draw people into the system and play it at a base ('ps2') level, without the online, patches, etc. If people like the system and want to do the other things they can run out and buy a harddrive or something. It's an entry level system that, for some people, will be 100 percent fine. 256 memory is more then enough to handle game saves and it comes with games as well. People who by default want the online and stuff, they will fork out the massive 70 dollars more to buy a premium, or more for the elite.

Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.

That is cool for consumers :).

Off to work now it is already 8 am X_X.

Good news! I might be interested in COD4 bundle. I already have 360 but my kids play it more than I do. They have a Wii but they don't play it that much.
