Forums - Gaming Discussion - How Madden 2010 is fighting used games sales

I think that madden may sell new codes in the new madden store that is gona be in the game. EA is selling extra jerseys and features in it like hardcore mode. That alows you to play ranked games on the all-madden dificulty.

Rather than treating used game purchasers like garbage, why don't publishers try to legitimately add value to the game to encourage people to hold onto the game for weeks/months/years after the game releases?

It may not be easy or inexpensive for all genres but it would be (far) more successful than punishing potential customers.

are you implying that they should stop releasing a Madden every year? have you gone NUTS?

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Dun dun dun

I'm not sure I like that kind of DRM. It's like if you lose your product key for a PC game, you can't play it online.

Ugh, then they could probably charge you money for new codes. . .

Absolutely disgusting by EA.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Ooh damn. That's a good one.

Online Franchise mode is like the one reason i may get the new Madden.

AS for people complaining... this franchise mode is being run by the EA servers right?

Why should they let people on their servers who aren't contributing to them making money?

Of course their are issues about people losing their codes etc.
