Forums - Sony - I wonder when we can get full downloadable PS2 games...

I would imagine that Sony would compress the games to make them a smaller amount to download like they did with the PS1 games. I mean i doubt that Crash Bandicoot 2 was only 200MB on the PS1 disk... I mean it could have been but that would be insane lol!

I wouldn't doubt it actually...

 

Edit: Nevermind, a torrent site has it at 598MB. That's some heavy compression!

The average PS2 game is about 2-4 GB. Some like ICO are far smaller. And large sized HDDs are pretty cheap nowadays, it would be a issue just for lazy people.

They're actually around 2-4

I bet if you took an average of every game you'd get like 2.8 or something.

I plan on upgrading soon, no worries here about size.

That hasn't stopped MS. My xbox360 Hd is only 13 Gb (since 7 GB is taken up by caching). After  afew demos and One game (install to HD) I now have 800 Mb.
