Ok, we'r having lots of negative stuff on the 40GB Ps3

 

I wanna know your reaction if this 40GB PS3 succeeds

 

n What will SONY do then, continue it or forget about the the other models?

 

Will the PS4 BOTHER having BC??

apparently PS4 won't have physical media, so how will BC take place?

Well, the PS4 is long enough away that our youngest members will actually be legally drinking alcohol by that time. Who knows in that case?

And if it succeeds? If it manages a flood of interest that results in 5 million consoles sold for this christmas? Awesome. It would definitely help Sony out, especially if somehow they have it cost so those 5 million aren't having them lose any money. It would likely show the brand Power of Playstation which appeared to be lacking, that or Uncharted and Ratchet turn out to be entirely Godly games. But it would be good for Sony, and generally good.

Believe it or not, european ps3 owners didnt care about backwards compatibility. Accprding to SCEE. They had a poll and thousands voted. They said the best thing to take out for a cheaper ps3 was the memory card slots, then the BC. Still plays ps1 games, but who cares they suck any way.

I f it suceeds(by suceeding sales must stay at 80k + weekly in OTHERS alone)

Then it may be released in north america, and may increase sales by alot. A $399.99 PS3 will woop the $hit out of any 360 model. Sony's competition shouldnt be micro$oift alone. It should be nintendo.

My friends laughed at me when I said with a disappointed expression 40GB ps3 won't have PS2 BC (I live in UK)

so it REALLY isn't that important

If the 40 gig is a succes in Europe then I expect them to release a 40 gig in Japan and America aswell. Although to me taking out BC was a bad idea since they want all those PS2 owners to get PS3.

After the FCC filing in the U.S. (among other leaks like the Best Buy one) and Ratchet and Clank as well as Spiderman coming out on October 30th, I think it is pretty certain that the U.S. will see a 40 gig. If they are smart, they will bundle Ratchet and Clank with the 80 gig.
