doubt that Ninja Gaiden is too hardcore for ps3 owners - they are more mainstream God of War type of game fans and not gruesome and hardcore h'n's games maniacs.

I thought Ninja Gaiden was one of the easier hack and slash games that I've played, but part of that is probably because I think it has the best combat system. I've never had a shortage of healing elixirs. I'm actually replaying Ninja Gaiden Sigma right now. After the first boss (the samurai guy on horseback), I still had a Talisman of Rebirth, 3 Greater Elixirs, and 3 Elixirs.
I'm currently at the bone dragon boss, all my weapons have been upgraded (I just stick with the Dragon Sword though), I have a full stock of healing items (5 greater elixirs, 10 elixirs), 2 Talisman of Rebirth (found, not bought) and 60k in essence to spend, should I ever need to restock on healing items. Which is rarely because I find so many of them throughout the game.
Are both of you two still confident of winning your bet Slimebeast and Outlawauron?
It's possible, but highly unlikely. The ps3 has a larger hack n' slash fanbase than the 360, as shown through the sales of Devil May Cry 4 and Heavenly Sword. DMC4 sold better on ps3, and Heavenly Sword is the best selling hack n' slash title this gen. God of War III will only help the ps3's hack n' slash fanbase grow. As a result, any hack n' slash game should theoretically sell better on ps3.
However, NGSII is a late port. A very late port, and I doubt many multiplat owners will be willing to double dip. I don't see the ps3 version topping 800k. Probably not even 500k, to be honest.
That depends, can anyone confirm that the slowdowns for the 360 have been fixed and no new slowdowns were introduced?
Based on the NGS2 demo that I've had since yesterday, I can confirm that the slowdowns are still there, just random. Others have also reported the same.
The strange thing is the game has half the enemies per encounter compared to the 360 NG2 even on Master Ninja mode. It looks a little sharper though, but both games are beautiful side by side. The PS3 version shouldn't have been censored since the frame rate is still going to slow down.

....Wait, they took out the blood, cut the number of enemies in half, and still can't get rid of the slowdown? Did they make that new engine specifically so it would be just a biiiiit too much for the hardware?
I think it could be possible. But I think it will sell less with lack of NA sales.
Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
Wow, old ass thread. Preorders in America are indicating 100k+ in the first week. It has the advantage of launching near the holiday season, too.
If it can do 550k in America, 350k in Others and 150k in Japan...
