That's not just me talking. Go check out some user reviews, or just go read http://www.avforums.com/. That's where I go to learn about such things, and compare mighty electronics. If you don't know that site, you probably don't know what you're talking about when it comes to modern electronics, lol. Seriously.

I haven't ever visited that site before. But http://www.avsforum.com/ is another good one, especially for those in North America.

Is there much difference between the two, do you know? I like the layout of the site you've provided... much clearer.

Anyhow, thanks for the link! I can't always find much info about certain models on the one I regularly visit.

Yeah man, avforums is an excellent site. don't know much about avsforum.

best tv ever - Pioneer PRO-111FD

Well, you have to factor in the price. Plus, that will eventually suffer from phosphor trailing.

Seriously, though, if I'm going plasma, I'm going Veria. Excellent price, almost as good as the Kuro, and is the future of Plasma TV is such a future exists.

That said, yes, for picture quality, so far, it's hard to beat the Kuro, if you don't consider anything but picture quality. However, none of us can buy one anymore, even if we had the money. It's like trying to buy Superman number 1.

Within a year, it will be surpassed by Panny, and there aren't any more Plasma's coming out from Pioneer.

It's all our loss really, but a fact we should all face.

You say that but compared to this Panasonic Plasma, Pioneer seems like a bargain.

Isn't panasonic the only one left making plasma technology. I mean, the Pioneer and Samsung plasmas are using PAnasonic screens no?

I'm talking about the 50' Verias. Excuse me. They approach the Kuro, and only set you back about 1300. I don't know what kind of monstrosity that Panny is that you linked, but I want it.

to be fair no one mention prize, just picture quality so yeah pioneer kuro is the best

Well, usually people say "everything else considered, the XXX is the best." In this case, everthing else considered, it's still 7 thousand dollars, and nobody in their right mind, who values money, would buy one when you can get a Veria for 1360.

I think that panny is the PS3 of TVs. :)

As in includes some really expensive component and can't be sold for less in this economy.

This just made me love my Panasonic Viera 50" even more. We got ours for 1300$ also, and it blows EVERY LCD I've seen out of the water with it's color. It's funny reading all the hype LCD gets at 'being the best', but this TV is just so much better. We even checked out the LED LCDs , still way to bright and the blacks and darker colors look horrid, even on the Sony.

The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

i spent 500 for my TV...

... I guess I should exit the thread, it's not in my league ^^

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Well either way i love my tv and i think it is the best lcd ever and the best tv over all. Sorry for being biased to sony but i have always thought thier colors were the best.

Could you please post a photo or a screenshot so I can determine the quality of this great Sony 46" TV?

My TV is better.

We'll miss you George.
