In general I think all Sony TVs are good. KDL or XBR. You get good bang for your buck.

Thats an amazing TV but I tend to preffer the Samsung 9 series over the XBR. The stabilization tech(120 HZ) I find to be better on the samsung.

2699 is a good price though.

Regarding picture quality however, Pioneer Elite Plasma beats them both.

sony bravias are quality... i regret getting the samsung instead of the sony.

Look up any professional reviews. Most give edge to samsung TVs for price and picture quality.

Besides, Samsung makes the screen for all Sony LCD TVs.

I heard they are gonna stop making them because of the shitty economy.

I can not say I didn't see it coming, their TV were outrageously expensive and only catered to the true fans of picture quality who's pockets are deeper than the Atlantic :D

I'm not surprised. Plasma is on its way out at this point. But man, if you have more cash than eastern europe, those Pioneer TV's are mindblowing.

Friend of mine has it and when we turn all lights out and play Street figher 2 HD...WOW. Puts my Tv to shame, and below is my TV.

If you wanted to look at pretty lights, why not look at the sun?

my family bravia still looks like new.

it have warranty but still after 3 fixes, i haven't used my tv for more than month due problems.

and the new sony KD32L5000 even its not a pretty design as my samsung still have better image quality.

XBR8 is a fantastic TV, but I'm not sure if it quite matches the Pioneer Kuro Elite models.
