I thought DQ IX sold more this week than all the software in North America this week.
I'm aware that it's not on the PS3... but it's very convenient to use that as an example.

the fact is, the Americas and Japan exist, like em or loathe em, they aint going anywhere, lol
It's really just America where the 360 sells more software. Some games (generally shooters) sell better on 360 in Others. It's actually a pretty even split. Japan belongs to the PS3, but the Japanese home console market is too small to really mean anything right now- and the PS3 is at such a disadvantage in NA, and NA sells the most software, you can see why the 360 sells more software than the PS3.
As for why the PS3 does often beat the 360 in Others software, perhaps it's because a lot of Europeans are multi-console owners? And of course, Europe loves Sony.
