Actually its the contrary to me. I've never seen a circumcised penis so I actually find it weird.
I read that it makes little to no difference for someone who has a regular (good) hygiene. I think it should be left as is, doesn't make a difference to me but I don't see a point in it. Most people in Europe don't do it and as far as I know there isn't more diseases than in the US.
there was a boy in my class at school (when we were 15) who thought circumcision meant to go around the world (circumnavigation) and kept telling us how it hadn't happened yet, but one day he'd go for it...
poor guy.
I hated the Sex & the city episode where the idiot one can't have sex with a guy because he's uncircumsized..
I never saw a reason for doing it. I find religious mutilation idiotic and i don't think it is required medically except in extreme phimosis
cases. My penis was never covered anyways. I have a friend that believes that circumstizion is part of zionist agenda. Silly bastard. OR IS HE??

Oh, come on. You can't give your opinion on manhood and mention that you watch Sex and the City in the same post.

Well, now we do. |
I think that that is a misplaced argument though.
Regardless of the end result, shouldn't we first look to discover whether or not it is ethical? I mean, modifying one's genitals without consent, I would think, is hardly anything to take lightly.
Firstly, none of the benefits of circumcision are necessary to a child's well-being. So why should a parent be allowed to make that choice for the non-consenting child when such an operation is typically unnecessary?
Secondly, if we are to accept what I had just said above as ethical, would it not also be ethical to modify children in other ways that may be only marginally beneficial? I mean, should I have the choice to have my infant's appendix removed simply due to fear of a future infection, however unlikely it may be?
On Topic: No. Foreskin remains intact.
Still in factory contion here, although i did date a girl once who tried to get me to get sniped. long story short, that realtionship ended.
I am, but only due to a doctors recomendation - so I'm more of a special case. I was also over 2 years old so I remember that - and it SUX.
To those who think that waiting until the child is old enough to decide, just know that physical pain and chances of adverse effects increase with age.
