Forums - Sony - Get a PsP 3000 or wait for PsP GO!?

I've been planning to buy a PsP since 05 but for some reason or other I haven't. For a while I thought the system was going to die software wise but now im ready to actually buy one. Do you guys think I should wait for a PsP go or get one of the 3000 bundles? My main concern about the PsP in general is battery life, 6 hours isn't long at all. Can you buy extra batteries for it?

Wait for holidays to see any potential changes in Sony's pricing for these models and how Sony is going to handle the backlog of PSP games for digital download.

Then decide if the pricing for Go+its features. Personally, if Sony still appears to keep supporting both models by year's end, I would just get 3000 as I don't see justification for price difference.

Get a 3000 cause if your concern is battery life the pspGO has an internal battery as I understand. Furthermore, the Go looks very uncomfortable to play on. The 3000 you CAN get extra batteries for.
Also memory sticks are rather cheap a 4gb is like 20 bucks at walmart.

The psp 3000, you might not get to download all you're favorite games.

Well I'm going to buy most likely a PSP-3000
The PSP-Go is just too expensive ans I think the look sucks.

Get a Go. Its more comfortable.

Get 3000.
It has bigger screen, it has umd drive so you can pick used games very cheaply, retail pricing for games is better than PSN prices.
For price diffrence beetween 3000 and Go you can easily get a pair of San Disk Ultra 8 gig memory sticks and enjoy downloadable games as much as every PSP go owner.
Battery life is same.

They only real adventage Go! has is smaller size

I have a PSP 2000... I'm thinking about getting a 3000 model or go... or, waiting for a possible (?) 4000 model.  I only play megaman powered up and tekken 5 on my psp, and powered up gets more attention at the moment then Tekken 5.  I usually switch every once in a while... I have 6 psp games, but, those two really raised my expectations in portable gaming.

My psp rarely died on me, and almost never dies on me while I'm playing a game.  My psp is set to turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity.  Think about it, how often will you go 6 hours with a charger, or, will you be using your PSP for so long?  Get a car charger if you need.  I keep my screen on the lowest brightness setting.  It's also a good idea to keep the sound down too.  It can last up to 12 hours if you're not doing anything but listening to music, just make sure you shut the screen off.  Mine's set to turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

For some unknown reason, my psp always turns off on me when I'm asleep, all the time.  No idea how it does that, but, when i go to sleep, I wake up and the thing's off.  It never turns off on me when I'm awake....  I can leave it in my pocket for 4 hours and it will still be playing....  But, I don't think my PSP will last any more than another 2 1/2 years tops, it's had a ton of useage.

I will probably get a go myself.it's much more portable.
