Its like back in the 80's what ever a kid was playing be it a Genesis, Atari the parents always said they were playing Nintendo...

Nintendo was the name for video games in general..

Same was for Playstation in mid 90's early 2k's, didn't matter what a kid was playing the parent always said they were playing Playstation..

In MP3 players, what comes to mind is -Ipod ..

Now the Xbox name comes to mind when playing video games in general .

He wasn't going to say "Put away the Wii", as its a family console - and the 360 is easily the dominant console in the US compared to the PS3.
