I'm sorry...WHY again, is this story getting SO MUCH headlines from gaming sites? It's not like Obama said video games are bad...he said parents need to be freaking parents, and control your damn kids...I do for mine...I don't let them play the freaking wii all day and night...if you don't have kids, I'm not really sure wtf you've gotta say on the issue...

Its because he singled out the XBOX. He said it because in a speech its probably easier to make out XBOX rather than Wii or PS3. But yeah, i agree with him, back in those days, kids respected their elders!

My question is why Obama singled the only American system, when he's the president of this country. I know he owns a Wii, but your first name you call should be the system you own.

Because Xbox is your standard reference console.

There is no standard reference console, especially when it hasn't been reported that he owns one. The only console that  he owns is Japanese and he's "referencing" an American console. I say....he's an idiot.

But I, and many in the thread like Kowenicki, believes Xbox is the standard console among many, and it's probably the case with Obama too.


I think most people nowadays picture in their head:

Playstation - the expensive luxury console

Wii - the new trendy phenomenon

Xbox - the standard gaming console
