What Did the Xbox Ever Do to Obama?

In a speech to the NAACP Thursday night, President Barack Obama exhorted parents to play a more active role in raising and educating their children, including “putting away the Xbox” when it’s bedtime.

“We can’t tell our kids to do well in school and then fail to support them when they get home,” he said. “You can’t just contract out parenting. For our kids to excel, we have to accept our responsibility to help them learn. That means putting away the Xbox — putting our kids to bed at a reasonable hour. It means attending those parent-teacher conferences and reading to our children and helping them with their homework.

“We agree with President Obama that it’s a time for families to work together so that kids use media in ways that are safe, healthy and balanced,” a Microsoft spokesman said in response. “Xbox 360 is the only console gaming system that has a timer feature allowing parents to set time limits for their kids, as well as parent controls to enable parents to set limits on what their kids are playing and watching.”

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

He didn't mention the Wii because it's an active console that encourages learning and physical activity.

He also didn't mention the PS3 because no one in America knows what that is.

Ohhhhhhhhhh snap!

Well if you remember there was a news story that there is a Wii in the White House. Clearly Obama is bias.
