Forums - Gaming - This holiday is starting to blow...

Simple, the companies let you believe they are due in Holiday 09 to keep you excited about the games, but none of them were ever realistically going to release then anyways. Only a few of the games you've listed have actually had Holiday 09 release dates announced, the rest was just fan speculation.

There's never a shortage of games worth buying during the holidays. Last year I'd say many top tier titles took a hit in sales due to oversaturation. But the number of titles being pushed back to early 2010 to avoid this in 2009 is getting out of hand.

Again, it's no big deal since there will be plenty of top titles before year's end, but it does make one wonder whether many of those titles will fare much better seeing as how everyone is delaying their big releases for Q1 2010.

Yeah It did but we got Dragon Age Origins and Uncharted 2 to keep us busy

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I get the feeling Borderlands is the next to go.

One thing: God of War III was never announced or planned for 2009- in fact, most people have been predicting March 2010 for a LOONG time (over a year).

Actually most site had this as one of their 'most anticipated' release of the year from late last year and early this year, this includes VGCharts here, who did a article about upcoming games for each system in 2009. But yea we realize earlier on that this won't make holiday 09.

edit: Shit and now I realize Dante's Inferno is also 2010 @#$#@$

@Badgenome, don't say that :( you guys are picking off my x-mas list one at a time....

Come on man, this game has already been through development hell for more than a year, it can't, it just can't get ass rape again! That would be so sad, especially as I love the new art direction they've taken with this game.
