I remember lots of disc read errors around the launch of Brawl, but have never heard of this before. That's very unfortunate. I'm sorry for your loss but you'll have it back in no time!

I don't know.

The error was something like "SYSTEM MEMORY IS CORRUPT, PLEASE CHECK YOUR TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE"

but the message itself was blurry and spotty.

Maybe i will get more details after i take it to nintendo (hopefully tomorrow).

I thought you can back-up your save files in a GameCube Memory card. Not sure though.

Your logic is pretty lame.

Following this line of logic if you had a daughter, and she got raped. You could say, well, at least they didn't kill her! Wahoo.  Your loss is nothing.

Losing my save games is significant to me.  No, it is not the end of the world.  No, it is not as bad as when my dog passed away.  I will not shed any teras over it.  But as far as gaming goes, this is probably the worst thing that can happen to someone.  Not having a quick backup solution on the WII (for the internal memory card) is stupid.  Plain and simple!

That just happened to me. System memory is corrupted. It's Bitch. I lost all my save data too. The only one that really hurt was the Brawl one.
